Our Projects

The foundation of Seesaw Service stems from the harsh reality of ableism in South Korea, where the needs of the visually impaired are often overlooked, leaving them marginalized and forgotten by society.

Our mission is to bring attention to this neglect and actively work toward their inclusion. Through bi-annual Showdown competitions, art fairs, translation services, dedicated band performances, and more, we are making significant strides in integrating the visually impaired into society. While our primary focus is on supporting the visually impaired, we see this as a stepping stone toward improving the lives of the entire disabled community in South Korea. At Seesaw Service Club, we are committed to challenging and confronting the discriminatory social norms that perpetuate exclusion.

Showdown Competitions

Often compared to a mix of air hockey and table tennis, Showdown is a competitive event designed to showcase visually impaired individuals' skills and talents in a challenging and exciting environment.

Art Fairs

Our art fairs offer visually impaired individuals creative opportunities to collaborate with non-visually impaired members, fostering inclusion, understanding, and a sense of belonging.

Volunteer Band

We annually host a concert that allows visually impaired individuals to perform before a large audience, showcasing their talents, building confidence, and fostering greater community engagement and inclusion.

English Lessons

We facilitate English learning for visually impaired individuals in South Korea by connecting them with fluent English speakers and supporting the process through our own members’ expertise.
